Today I randomly found Kevin Bacon's email and decided to write him a letter.
"Dear Mr. Bacon,
I recently came across a dusty and moldy copy of Footloose on VHS at a yard sale. After some heavy bargaining, I worked the price down to a nickel. Hoping I hadn't overpaid, I ran home to anxiously see what I had purchased. Contrary to popular belief, I was DELIGHTED to find an entertaining piece of historic film making. I wanted to congratulate you on all of your success. Not sure what you are doing now, but hope your career has blossomed since then.

San Francisco in 100,000 Toothpicks
How did I not find about this until now! This is incredible!
"Rohnert Park artist Scott Weaver has built a 9′ tall model of San Francisco using 100,000 toothpicks. The installation “Rolling Through the Bay” took 35 years to create and features a ball that rolls through the toothpick sculpture, touring famous San Francisco locations. It made its debut on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the Sonoma County Fair winning “Best of Show”. Here’s a video on the project by The Press Democrat."

Endearing Moments. Hey Fool
Last night I watched Eagle vs. Shark. I have been waiting to see this movie for a long time. I was not disappointed. It has a hint of Napoleon Dynamite's independent charm and engages you with its unique character developments and soundtrack. Probably the best soundtrack I have heard in a while actually, drives me back to some indie roots. Here is the scene where Jarrod calls up Eric, his high school nemesis, and challenges him to a fight. Enjoy

The Cove
Last night I attended a special screening of The Cove. The Cove is currently still wrapping up the film festival circuit and is set for public release in about a month. The Cove is amazing.

The Cove presents a problem that I was completely unaware of and reminds me of how ignorant and unaware we are of our surroundings and literally blind to inhumane issues at times. Very interesting and incredible film documentary. Spread the word
